The conductor François-Xavier Roth formed this first-rate orchestra in 2003 by bringing together a generation of young musicians from the finest French ensembles. His ambition is to offer a new approach not only to repertoire, but also to the very nature of the concert form. With a vast period-instrument collection at their disposal (spanning the baroque, classical, romantic and modern periods), François-Xavier Roth and the musicians of Les Siècles have already made their mark as an orchestra for the 21st century.
Les Siècles have already performed in Paris (Cité de la Musique, Salle Pleyel, Opéra-Comique, Théâtre du Châtelet, salle Gaveau), Aix-en-Provence, La Côte-Saint-André, Soissons, Laon, Caen, Nîmes, Royaumont and in international halls in Wiesbaden, Brussell, Luxemburg, Cologne, Amsterdam, Tokyo, Essen, London...
