After causing enthusiasm with both public audience and press by creating a self-confident and modern Micaëla within the new production of Carmen at the Festival d’Aix-en-Provence („Elsa Dreisig caresses with her round timbre and enchants with her noble vocal style“ – La Croix, Emmanuelle Giuliani), Elsa Dreisig is concluding the summer season with a spectacular last-minute replacement - once again causing a sensation - in Haydn’s The Creation under the baton of Sir Simon Rattle for the opening of the Berlin Philharmonic season. Two years ago, she was still a student at the Conservatoire de Paris (CNSM). Meanwhile she has drawn attention winning numerous prizes and awards at the main vocal competitions. And she found her perfect working spot building up her repertoire within the ensemble of the Berlin State Opera. This season has been highlighted by her debuts with some of the most prestigious opera companies: the Opéra de Paris (Pamina), the Zurich Opera (Musetta) and, soon, the Festival d'Aix-en-Provence (Micaela in Carmen). All this proves her outstanding talent and the continuous work on her own abilities. We are convinced that this is still only the beginning of a great and long career!

In June 2015 Elsa Dreisig was invited to take part in the outstanding radio program "Génération jeunes interprètes" by Gaëlle Le Gallic at France Musique. Together with pianist Jeff Cohen, the young French soprano offered a precious program of Lieder and Melodies including rare and beautiful Lieder by Friedrich Holländer and Norbert Glanzberg. More popular are of course the songs by Kurt Weill. A program worth listening to get more familiar with Elsa Dreisig's versatility and palette of expression. Link to the radio program
Elsa Dreisig has just been awarded the First female Prize at the renowned "Neue Stimmen"-Competition of the Bertelsmann Foundation at the Glocke in Gütersloh (Germany) which makes her rise as a new star of the vocal art heaven. The French-Danish soprano already demanded attention this summer when receiving the Second Prize of the Queen Sonja International Music Competition in Oslo. With the current season she is joining the Opera Studio of the Berlin State Opera. Having been cast as Papagena originally, Daniel Barenboim’s Berlin opera company immediately realized her outstanding talent and moved her on to Pamina in Mozart’s Magic Flute, an opera which she was completely familiar with in the early age of five years. We join Elsa`s happiness after the important competition success and congratulate her for her impressing career step. A most sincere Toi-Toi-Toi for the challenging season which awaits her!
